Natural ways to cleanse your underarms and remove body odor

Our underarms easily trap sweat which makes it susceptible to body odor. Instead of burning your hard-earned money with special deodorants filled with chemicals or expensive spa treatments, you may want to try the natural deodorant recipes shared by Dr. Liza Ramoso-Ong.

Her first tip was to clean the underarms using cotton balls and 70% alcohol. Wipe the area down before putting the “dry” deodorant recipe that consists of one tablespoon of cornstarch and one tablespoon of baking soda. Mix this well and apply on the underarm area to stop or lessen the production of sweat.

If you prefer a “wet” natural deodorant, then you can take the same mixture of cornstarch, baking soda and just add a few tablespoons of coconut oil. You can place this inside a jar or any kind of bottle for storage. Dr. Ramoso-Ong shared that cornstarch and baking soda were able to soak in or absorb the moisture that is being produced in our underarms as well as “neutralize the acid” that can effectively remove body odor.
