WARNING: Reusing and refilling plastic water bottles is harmful to your health

Everyone will probably agree that for once in your life you have tried reusing or refilling your plastic water bottles –  thinking that there is nothing wrong with it and it is obviously eco-friendly! However, unbeknownst to many, doing this can only cause consequences that can be seriously harmful to your health. According to renowned medical expert, Dr. Willie Ong drinking bottled water is safe but, the only problem is its plastic container.

Plastic water bottles are designed to be used once. The moment you finish drinking your water you need to throw it away, actually do the right thing and recycle it. This is because reusing the container will only make the plastic bottle get distorted. When this happens, chances are bad chemicals from the flimsy plastic bottle will mix with the water that you are drinking.

 

These plastic water bottles are known to have harmful effects on the endocrine system of the body. According to Doc Willie, prolonged exposure to these bad chemicals can cause early menstruation for women and development of the breasts for men.

Moreover, Dr. Willie Ong is also reminding everyone to keep bottled water from the direct heat of the sun. It is because there are instances that these plastic containers tend to melt due to the intense heat of the sun.

 

Furthermore, if you are used to buying food from carenderias be aware that using thin  plastic bags for food is dangerous for your health. The fact is hot soup melts the plastic cellophane allowing the bad chemicals to mix with your food.

WHAT TO DO:

Using a tumbler or a thermal bottle is highly recommended. These may be a bit expensive but these containers are proven and tested to be safer and better than reusing your plastic water bottle.

 

When buying these, make sure to buy  BPA-free (Bisphenol A) products. These products are proven to be safe and healthy for everyone and is safe for reuse.
